Maestro stands as a robust yet straightforward mobile UI testing framework. Drawing from the wisdom of its predecessors (including Appium, Espresso, UIAutomator, and XCTest), it empowers you to seamlessly define and test your flows through YAML files.

Why do we adopt this technology?

At In The Pocket we've been using Appium for quite some time and know it's benefits and limitations quite well. Comparing to Appium, Maestro (the new kid on the block) significantly streamlines mobile automations by simplifying both setup and flow declarations.

However, while Maestro has swiftly developed and matured due to substantial funding, we are slightly unclear about its future trajectory, as smaller issues with the tool are not always addressed by the Maestro team.
